Fall 2026 · Texas and North Florida
Printable Planting Guides
Six one-page fall planting sheets for Austin, Dallas, Houston, Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Jacksonville. Each sheet lists what is still worth sowing, what is closing, what is already too late, and why, with the arithmetic shown against the site's average first frost.
Date note: every sheet was calculated on 2026-09-08 and says so in its subtitle. Day counts and “plant this week” lists are only accurate for early September; the frost dates themselves are the 1991–2020-style averages the pages quote. For today's answer, open the live page for your region — the Texas and North Florida plant-now pages recompute every crop against the calendar each time they load.

What the sheets are built from
Every stated date and too-late verdict comes from the same source-backed data file the live pages render: src/data/seasonalPlantingWindows.json, with Texas dates from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and North Florida dates from UF/IFAS. The disclosure policy records how commercial data is kept separate from garden guidance.
